Glock 40 Automatica Precio - The original is still great with Gen 3, my wife and I had a blast playing it right out of the box. Forgiving and a little simpler, it doesn't require much to work well. 2k cartridges with a tungsten guide are solid, and with a set of spare sights, probably a pistol with a longer range. Easy to learn, not too big for everyone except the smallest hidden digits.
I bought a gen 1 17 in the late 80's and early 90's. I've done countless laps on it and it runs like a champ every time. I have several guns. But that's my hidden transport element and my goto.

This is one of the best 9mm pistols. I know there are a lot of them, and the Glock 19 is the #1 in the US, but the lightweight, thin, and possibly full-size 9mm Glock 17 Gen 4 feels great with a backstrap, including a beaver tail, because NATO FMJs are good practices, and not garbage. High pressure for affordable training ammunition. I usually use Glock 21 NATO 239 grain .45 acp models, but this is my second favorite. I haven't tried the Gen 5 yet, and I'm generally more comfortable with Gen 4 size Glocks. A better recoil assembly can help with FTE issues or erratic ejection.
Possibly the best polygon of all time! See how many LE agencies around the world trust the Glock 17. You won't get that kind of approval without understanding the little things! The reliability of the G17 is undeniable; so what's not to love? Ugly weapon? Check. Not the cleanest or lightest trigger brake on the market? Check. The original "plastic" gun? Check. Factory sights that are not... hmm?... not the best? Check. Shoot every time and shoot the target like a champ? Check that too. Survived and prospered through years of torture testing by many different agencies, police and military? That would be a check too. Glock / Colt Automatic Shell Ejection Pistol
I bought it fairly used without knowing its history. I modified the trigger and firing pin assemblies to improve the trigger and added fiber optic sights. It was 100% reliable! I have owned it for about 7 years. Steel case, factory remanufactured and old ammo - eats and spits out! I have a collection of guns, I buy and sell them, but I'm keeping this one.
I bought a G17, Gen4 so I would have one 9mm action to use at the shooting range. I've shot a .40 caliber double action before. Shooting ease and feel are excellent. It included back straps in different sizes which is definitely a plus. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid Flat Face Trigger Assembly, Extended Slide Release and Optical Sights. However, it shoots very well right out of the box. All in all I have about $900 in this gun which I think is worth the cost for my preferences. It fits well in the hand, accurate, minimal recoil, clear trigger pause and quick reset, good balance and reliability. The design of the case is smooth but not too big to disguise. Ideal on the training ground and used during tactical operations. I highly recommend this gun to both the novice and the experienced shooter.

I have owned my Gen4 Glock 17 for a few years now and consider it to be one of the best 9mm pistols on the market. I installed the "Ultimate Pyramid Trigger Assembly" and fiber optic sights. These options only improve the capabilities of this weapon. In addition, the wide back strap and beaver tail provide a good feel and comfort. Due to the angle and size of the design, getting a good grip is comfortable and smooth. Needless to say, this is critical to the speed of setting up the sight for fast target shooting. As a service weapon, it's lightweight, so you won't get tired of carrying heavy weapons all day. At range or in tactics, accuracy is excellent. Shooting right or left handed is no problem as it is well balanced. Be it precision shots or rapid fire, I've had no crashes yet. Ultimately, I highly recommend this gun for home defense, duty and even competitive shooting.
Glock 18: For Sale, But You (probably) Can't Have One
There was a time in 2015 when my buddies and I found ourselves in a situation where we had no oil or cleaning kit and neither was coming any time soon. It was British Army and we were glad we didn't have to clean the gun, moreover, beating like a two-stroke engine, the gun would not fire after a few shots. It turned out that I got into an intimate, personal situation, and this thing just dragged on and on throughout the contact. To this day, I dream about the gun I was given and how it saved my life.
It can't be hit, it just keeps the carbon away from the parts and kit. The views drove me crazy, but when you have the power to push a gun, guess what. It works. Thank you for my Glock life :).
I have had a Glock 17, Gen 4 for about 5 years. To this day, I use it as homework for many reasons; durability, accuracy, versatility, weight, number of shots, balance, etc. The only modifications I made to my pistol are; Pyramid trigger, TruGlo optical sights, stainless steel competitor return spring and grip tape. All of these items were purchased through . Having the "backstrap" option gives a great fit to the gun in my hand. Having several other pistols, the Glock 17, Gen 4 is my "go to" pistol and I always feel confident when it's by my side.
I have a G17 gen 2 Never missed a beat. I changed to newer mags. The original chargers are starting to crack. I replaced the springs and changed the connector. I would probably bet 3000 spins and bet my life on it. Now I have 5 Glocks and I have no problems with any of them.
